Light The Night 2011...The Last Push
At this moment I am rushing about sending emails and making phone calls to get the last donations in for Light The Night 2011. The walk is tonight! I will be using Map My Run to keep track of how far and long the walk is. It will NOT be a fast walk as we have some children walking with us but it is an opportunity to get out and walking. Can not wait! I will post after the walk tonight the totals for all the walking and the donations! Hope everyone has a fabulous Thursday! I must get back to fundraising...

Preparing for the Light The Night Walk
So as most of you know I am active in Light The Night. It is a walk that benefits The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I have been SO bad on logging my walking this week because of it. We are fundraising our butts off to hit our team goal of $3400. We are a little over half way there and have two weeks to finish that goal. Tonight I will be at our local mall at Chick Fil A for three hours getting people educated on our walk and they are donating 15% of sales that mention us to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Pretty excited to see the totals come Tuesday!
I am very excited about this year's walk and so proud of the team members who have truly stepped up and showed such support. I have also been showered with support from friends when we had an incident of hands taking money from a charity. I will get back on track with walk training but right now preparing for this walk is important to me. I will be logging the walk that we do that night. Mind you it will be slow as we have some children walkers but it will still be good preparation none the less :) Hope everyone is having a great Thursday. Soooo....
It has been a great weekend on vacation and is shaping up to be a super busy week. My workout logs may not be so frequent this week :( Lots of fundraising for our Light The Night Walk with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Hope everyone had a happy and safe Halloween! Hopefully will get to post a walk even if it is a very short one. Happy Tuesday and wow it is now officially November!

Week of Vacation!
One more night of work before vacation! Since I leave for vacation Thursday I will have to get a walk in on Tuesday and Wednesday. We are also going to be going to Halloween Horror Nights so there will be a lot of walking that day (maybe even running!)

Day 2 of Training...
Today was definitely NOT as good as day 1. I was not as fast as I was the first day. Few reasons why...
1-My calves hurt SOOO bad! Must talk with some of you who know a lot about walking/running to see what I can do to help this.
2-I had my 7 month old daughter with me. I was not carrying her...I had her in the jogging stroller my husband bought. I feel like I hold my posture differently when pushing that and it just was not as comfortable.
Now that I am done WHINING!...whew! The positive is I got out. I went for a walk with my daughter and it was gorgeous weather for it. I have to keep telling myself RESULTS ARE NOT INSTANT. I will get better, faster, and healthier. I just have to keep doing it.
It is going to be a BUSY few weeks coming up but I MUST keep up with walking and timing my walks. I already walked twice this week and did not time so I am not counting those. That will be my punishment...it does not count unless it is documented on iMapMyRun. THE END no excuses. :) Hope everyone else had a fabulous Friday!!

OFFICIALLY REGISTERED!
2 of us have officially registered for the 5K! We have 129 days to get ready for the big day! <3 Can not wait to keep up with weight lost and endurance gained over the next few months!
